THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER
1930
- Trade paper for the entertainment industry.
- Started, daily, on 3 Sept. 1930 (publisher/creator was William R. Wilkerson).
- Since November 2010 a daily digital edition, in a PDF file, replaced the daily printed version and THR became a large-format weekly magazine.
- It publishes between 35 and 42 issues per year.
- Plus there are standalone quarterly glossies, festival extras, and extensive award-season coverage.
MOVING PICTURE WORLD
1907-1927
- Ceased publication
- Early American trade journal.
- Founded by James P. Chalmer Jr. and Alfred Saunders.
- Claimed to be the "Official organ of the Moving Picture Exhibitors' Association."
- Merged (January 7, 1928) with Exhibitors Herald to form Exhibitors Herald and Moving Picture World (shortened to Exhibitor's Herald World.)
