- Cinema Star was a prominent Persian-language film magazine founded in 1954.
- It emerged from a group of young critics associated with a newsstand near Tehran’s Metropole Cinema.
The magazine focused on American and Iranian cinema, featuring translated articles, celebrity gossip, and, especially in its early 1954 issues, a distinctive, modern, high-quality “collage” design.
- First issue was published on 18 November 1953, with 24 pages. By 1978, 1067 issues of this magazine had been published (until 2 January 1978), making it the longest-running cinema magazine in the history of Iranian press.
