Dunya al-Jadidah, which translates from Arabic as 'The New World', was a Syrian illustrated weekly magazine published on Thursday mornings. It was distributed in Lebanon, Iraq, Jordan, and some European countries. It was published uninterruptedly from 1945 to 1958, returning to publication after three and a half years in 1962 until its final closure in 1963"
